Amanda to Kurt in Shadow Dance

Personality[]

Amanda is sweet, kind and a very gentle person. Originally believed by Kurt to be shy, Amanda becomes straightforward and honest. Despite discovering Kurt was a mutant, she still showed love and affection towards him and appreciates his company. Even after mutants were exposed, Amanda continued to remain close to Kurt and his friends even refusing to distance herself from them despite knowing the hateful attention they got. However, despite this, she is easily brought to disapproval such as when other people do things she does not approve of, she also still continues to show love towards Kurt even after her parents show distaste towards him. She is also easily defensive over others and her surroundings and is not afraid of defending those she loves such as when she fought off Toad when the latter invaded her home in search of Kurt's Image Inducer.

She also appreciates humor and enjoys showing off her mischievous aspects such as when she found it amusing to turn off Kurt's Image Inducer and finds Kurt's attempts to introduce himself to her parents cute when he began to stumble with his words. She is a very peaceful individual and

Physical appearance[]

Amanda is a young, half African-American and half-Romani girl with long, brown hair. She often wears a black tank top with orange accents, matching orange pants with a white belt and dark-brown sandals which she wears with silver and gold jewellery, most often wearing a light silver choker necklace.

Early life[]

Despite nothing else being know about Amanda, she at some point began attending Bayville High School and began associating herself with Kurt. Prior to Shadowed Past, she slowly began developing a crush on the mutant and saw his true form though this did not scare her away from wanting to be friends with Kurt. As of Shadowed Dance, the two became closer to the point both began dating.

Getting to know Kurt[]

Shadow Dance: Amanda is mentioned by Scott when the latter asks if she will be the one to ask him to the dance though Kurt does not believe Amanda will ask him under the belief that he thinks she is shy. After being pushed towards Kurt by her friends, Amanda gains the courage to ask Kurt to the dance which he happily accepts, she promises to call him later and leaves with her friends.

During the dance, Kurt apologizes about having to wear gloves, which he claims is to hide a rash, though in reality he does not want Amanda to feel his furry hands, despite this, she remains happy and content that Kurt accepted her offer to come to the dance and continues to slow-dance with him as the night continues. After the dance, Amanda admits that she is aware Kurt's humane appearance is merely a façade and admits she has seen his true form, despite Kurt's attempts to deny the claims that he is really blue, Amanda insists she is fine with how he looks, a feat that shocks Kurt.

After being knocked over by Lance's powers, she is caught by Kurt and begs he make the monster disappear, despite not wanting to teleport, Amanda's screams cause him to protect her and he teleports them into the hallway, she is then saved by Kurt once again as the two escape the school. Later that night, Amanda admits she saw Kurt's true form which made her want to get to know him better and asks if she can see it again though Kurt believes he will only scare Amanda away, she remains adamant that she likes him for who he truly is and tells him that blue is her favorite color, she and Kurt then leave for their date to go to the ice cream shop.

Day of Reckoning II: Amanda watched the news which showed mutants being exposed on TV in which she saw the X-Men being identified by name.

Mutant Exposure Aftermath[]

Mainstream: Amanda finds Kurt by the lockers and mentions how mutants are known well known and now well hated, she is then pulled behind the lockers as Kurt tries remaining quiet about the situation, she easily sees through this and points out to Kurt that nobody knows that he and the blue mutant are one in the same. Amanda continues to take notice that Kurt is trying to be normal and then asks if he will still stand by his friends, when Kurt answers that the X-Men will be fine, Amanda becomes shocked by his reply.

X-Treme Measures: Amanda walks with Kurt after school and watches in surprise as Evan defends himself from the anti-mutant bullies, she watches the fight but is soon pulled away by Kurt.

The Toad, The Witch, and the Wardrobe: Amanda tells Kurt she wants to introduce him to her parents though Kurt remains hesitant, she assures him that they will love him and she take him to see them that night, as the Sefton family set up for dinner, the night is interrupted when Toad invades but Amanda defends both Kurt and her home without her parents knowing, the night ends with Amanda being forbidden from seeing Kurt though she does not listen and continues to date him in secret.

Self Possessed: Amanda attends a concert with Kurt though their date is cut short after Rogue's powers become out of control leaving the stadium trashed.

Under Lock and Key: She watches the X-Men's game of no-powers baseball at the Institute, she does not play but witnesses as the game is stopped on account of Warren's appearance on the field.

After Apocalypse was stopped[]

Though she does not make a psychical appearance, it is believed she still dates Kurt in secret despite knowing her parents no longer approve of their relationship due to Kurt being a mutant.
