Premise[]

When Wanda's powers go haywire under the belief that the X-Men failed to save Magneto, it causes the subway she and the Brotherhood are on to lose control which force the team to save the civilians that are trapped inside. Upon doing so, they are regarded as heroes and praised for their deeds, wanting their fame to continue, the Brotherhood stage dangerous situations where they appear in time to save people but when things turn sour and an incident goes wrong, the wrongly imprisoned X-Men must step in and save the day before any casualties can happen.

Summary[]

NoGoodDeed-Train

Wanda becomes upset with Pietro

During their trip on the subway, The Brotherhood are all silently sat down with Wanda distancing herself from the boys, upon noticing his sister's reaction to a newspaper headline hating on mutants, Pietro runs over and stole the paper from the man, going as far as to tear it up, he tries telling Wanda the truth about their dad and how he wasn't the caring man she believes him to be but Wanda, blinded by the truth and under the belief the X-Men did nothing to save her father becomes angered and loses control of her powers resulting in the train to derail and crash. Luckily, nobody is badly injured or hurt but they're all trapped and in need of help. Toad's attempts at escape proved futile due to there being no functional exits but Fred barged through the carriage doors to create an escape, Toad unwillingly helped an old man out of danger and Lance took it upon himself to save an old lady who he carried out to safety. The situation was seen by Scott and Kitty who drove over to help, the X-Men there all stand by in shock as the news dub The Brotherhood heroes

NoGoodDeed-OldLady

Lances saves the old lady

After the attack, Edward Kelly was on television campaigning to become Mayor stating that he would place the Mutant Registration Act into law as he still has his anti-beliefs about them. His campaign is soon interrupted by how the Brotherhood saved lives, something Kelly was not pleased about.

NoGoodDeed-Paparazzi

The Brotherhood see the news crew outside

The next morning at the Institute, the X-Men are at breakfast and reading the papers, not happy that their enemies and rival team are being portrayed as the good guys. At the Brotherhood's Boarding House, they all watch on as news reporters show up outside wanting to speak to the girl that was part of the team but Wanda, still blaming herself for the incident, returns inside not wanting to deal with the media. The lady that Lance saved that morning appears and admits she's the owner of one of the largest construction companies within Bayville and as a thanks for saving her life, she tells the team that she and her company will fix up their house just after she hands over a cheque of $10,000. Upon realising they can use this to their advantage, The Brotherhood, minus a at first hesitant Lance, plan to stage more incident so that they can be viewed as heroes once again.

NoGoodDeed-tryharder

Scott becomes furious at the Brotherhood behind called heroes

Seeing Lance's hesitation to being part of their plan, Pietro tries again to convince him using the excuse that the X-Men are probably hating the situation which causes Lance to finally agree to joining in. As more staged incident occur, Xavier noticed there was a pattern, something he soon told Scott and the X-Men stating that the Brotherhood are coincidentally appearing when their powers are needed most. Scott then takes his team out to deal with the problem before it gets worse.

Upon hearing Kelly's anti-mutant agent, The Brotherhood head over to where he is campaigning but are surrounded by the X-Men and New Mutants who appear before a fight can break out. Kelly, unappreciative of the teams, swears he'll drive the mutants out of Bayville

Back at their home, Lance is furious at their previous encounter with their former principal but his anger is pushed aside when Pietro reminds the boys and his sister that they have bigger issues at hand, their issue being their good deeds are no longer on page one and that they should remind the public about their heroics. Pietro then asked Wanda for help to which she agrees to despite not wanting any part of it.

NoGoodDeed-Zoo

Kitty ends up in the crocodile enclosure

Next day at the zoo, the Brotherhood are at their ribbon cutting ceremony with Pietro making a speech where upon panting the X-Men in a bad light, gives Wanda the cue to hex their rival's powers where in doing so causes chaos with Scott's visor being knocked off making him fire his optic beams that are out of control, Kitty being teleported into the crocodiles' cage where upon trying to escape, she ends up being stuck in the glass but is freed by Scott whose beams shatter the glass but causes more damage, Jean whose telekinesis goes haywire and Kurt who attempts to teleport an old man to safety only to end up on a sign that collapses with the two almost being injured due to Jean being unable to control the sign they are on.

Due to their behaviour and putting lives in danger, the X-Men are arrested and placed in jail with the Brotherhood still being hailed as heroes. Kitty, not liking their predicament, sticks her tongue out at the guard but Xavier gets her to stop telling her he is doing his best to straighten everything out with Scott the authorities.

At the Brotherhood's Boarding House, the team decide to stop whilst they're ahead but Pietro manages to convince the boys to do one final heroic act, one that will make them "go out with a bang" and decide to stage one final accident before they go back to their villainous ways. Using his speed, Pietro manages to catch up with a nearby train and sabotages it unbeknownst to the driver who alerts his boss that the train is out of control after he is told that the train missed its stop. Returning to his team, Pietro finds them near traffic with one driver stating that there was more than one train included within the incident, a factor Pietro nor the other boys included with the driver telling them that the other train has eight tanks of gasoline on board.

Realising that the situation has become too big to control and has become a bigger crisis, Xavier alerts his students that the authorities have allowed the X-Men to be freed so they can deal with the threat as they have no other option. The X-Men then head out to save the civilians. Upon getting on the train, Scott, Kurt and Kitty phase inside and get the driver to safety with Scott blasting the connector causing the first carriage to disconnect, Kurt and Scott then find that Kitty is missing.

NoGoodDeed-Kittywtrain

Kitty attempts to phase the train through the other

Kurt teleports from Scott and finds Kitty upon the top of the train where she admits to him that she's going to phase the train through the other one as Jean is unable to stop it. Kurt admits how dangerous doing so is but Kitty mentions that she has no other choice. She then attempts to phase the train she and Kurt are on but it proves too much for her and it crashes inside the other, the trains begin to explode upon impact with Kurt teleporting both him and Kitty out of the blast zone. Jean then attempts to encase the explosion within a telekinetic bubble but soon loses control as the feat becomes too much even for her but the situation becomes less fatal as Lance arrives and causes the ground under the trains to become unstable and buries the trains with the fire being put out. As the X-Men gather around him, Lance admits that the incident was the last of their heroic deeds.

NoGoodDeed-try2Fix

Lance attempts to fix the mess he and the Brotherhood caused

With the X-Men cleared of their earlier charges, The Brotherhood are then put under investigation with the media believing them to be behind the accidents with the men from earlier returning to take back everything they were given. As Toad watches the news, he begs for the big TV not to be taken away but the men ignore him and take it anyways. As Pietro suggests to go on the new subway, the team turn on him with Wanda using her powers.
