Ellen De'Gen, Taryn Fujioka, and Portia are all together talking after school. They were together, when Taryn got snubbed by Jean Grey for asking Scott Summers to the dance.

Taryn is in her living room talking to Portia on the phone when she freaks out about monsters on the news that are in New York City, with a bunch of kids from their school — including Taryn's boyfriend Scott Summers, and Jean Grey.
