History[]

Strategic Homeland Intervention Logistics and Division, commonly more known as S.H.I.E.L.D is an international espionage organisation that monitors potential threats across the globe and deals with them before they become a further threat. It is also the rival agency of the villanious faction known as HYDRA. S.H.I.E.L.D is managed by Secret Service Agent, Nick Fury, prior to being recruit as part of the X-Men, Logan acted as one of its members as a Special Agent during World War Two and served beside Steve Rogers, Captain America, though after the war, Logan abandoned S.H.I.E.L.D and Steve was frozen in ice for over several decades.

Ranks[]

  • SSA= Special Service Agent
  • SA= Special Agent

World War Two[]

In the mid-to-late 1940s, Logan served in the second world war where he worked with Steve Rogers and the rest of S.H.I.E.L.D. Once the war was over, Steve was frozen in ice and Logan eventually left. Soon after, Logan ended up under the Weapon X program but eventually left after wanting to live a normal life and away from the violence he endured during his time with S.H.I.E.L.D

During the war, Logan and Steve were deployed to Oświęcim, Poland on a rescue mission which lead them to rescuing many prisoners from the infamous concentration camp known as Auschwitz. On their mission, the two saved many of its prisoners, one of which was a young boy by the name of Erik Lehnsherr who eventually grew up to become Magneto.

Mutant exposure[]

After mutants were exposed to the world, S.H.I.E.L.D stepped in. Once the X-Men ran from the safety of the Institute which had been compromised by the military, Nick went to confront the X-Men on the situation. Not wanting to deal with his involvement, Raven ordered the Brotherhood to attack the head of the organisation only to be stopped once Fury revealed to both teams that they were surrounded by his agents who had been hiding out in the bushes and trees around them.

X-23 and HYDRA[]

On the night that an unknown person broke into a S.H.I.E.L.D facility, Fury, wanting answers, took a jet to the Institute to demand answers from Logan after the former revealed that the attacker had Adamantium claws. After Deborah Risman, a former member of HYDRA, came clean to S.H.I.E.L.D about who the figure was, Fury then ordered his team to find and locate X-23. After Logan sympathised with the young girl, he gave her a chance to escape which she did. Not wanting X-23 to be constantly chased down, Logan lied to Fury and claimed that the girl was no longer on the grounds of the Institute.

After X-23 appeared on S.H.I.E.L.D's radars once more some time later, Fury sent out his agents to once again find her. After the search proved futile, Fury went back to Logan for answers only to be told that X-23 had perished in the crash. Fury, content with the answer, left, unaware that X-23 had survived and escaped to live a normal life under the belief that she died.

Notes[]

  • S.H.I.E.L.D stands for Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Division.
  • During the events of X23, the character with the same name was sent by HYDRA to steal information from S.H.I.E.L.D but instead defected. [1]
  • In the future, the Brotherhood, along with John Allerdyce, became agents. [2]
  • In the comics, Kitty had also been a member of the organisation.
  • After the events of Target X, S.H.I.E.L.D believed that X-23 perished in the aircraft crash. Though considering the latter returned in the future, it is possible S.H.I.E.L.D learned of her survival much later on.
